Squareonthehypothenus (French: Anglaigus) is a Roman architect. He leads the construction of the Mansions of the Gods at the order of Julius Caesar.

At the start of the game, Squareonthehypothenus gets bitten by Dogmatix a few times, then hit by Obelix.
In Rolling Stones, Squareonthehypothenus is one of the targets.
In later game, he allows Cacofonix to take an apartment in the Mansions of the Gods, not knowing that his terrible music scares people off.
